| Sexual
dysfunction is certainly nothing to be ashamed of.
Approximately 30 million men in the U.S. suffer
from some degree of impotence. The good news is
that Medicare covers impotence devices for diabetic
recipients. In addition, there are now products
available to help overcome this condition.
Vacuum therapy is recommended by Urologists as
the first, safest and most successful treatment
for impotence. We recommend and provide the leading
vacuum therapy treatment, The Encore System. For
12 years, Encore has manufactured vacuum therapy
to treat impotence. Read below for more information
on how you could qualify and pay little to nothing
for this form of therapy.
This month we've combined the Healthy Eating
and Exercise into a new section called Healthy
Living. Since both diet and exercise are vital
to reducing the complications of diabetes we'll
provide exercise tips and healthy foods in this
section every month. For additional links to diet
and exercise as it relates to diabetes, please
see our Helpful Links on the right column of this
and every newsletter.
Last
month we received several questions from our readers.
We have posted some of the more common questions
for everyone to read. If you have questions or
comments, please email them by clicking on the
link in that section of the newsletter and send
them to us.
We hope you enjoy this issue of the newsletter
and thank you for choosing Access Diabetic Supply
as your choice for diabetic supplies.

Normal Physical Changes with Age
Many
older people continue to have the desire to enjoy
an active and satisfying sex life. Continued sexual
activity and exercise help maintain the ability
to enjoy ongoing sexual relations. However, due
to the normal aging process people notice a slowing
of response.
Sex
with Diabetes & Other Illnesses
Diabetes
is one of the few illnesses that can cause impotence
in men, and vacuum therapy is the first treatment
Urologists turn to for the treatment of impotence.
Other
ailments can also affect sexual activity, however
the most serious conditions shouldn't inhibit
people from having a satisfying sex life.

Vacuum
Therapy for Impotence |
 |
|
| Vacuum
therapy is the safest, most effective form of impotence
treatment. It is 90% successful. Vacuum therapy
has helped over one million couples resume a normal
sex life.
How
Does it Work?
We recommend the Encore System, which is covered
by Medicare. This system is completely external.
The Encore System increases the proper blood flow
to the penis, resulting in a rigid erection. A
soft comfortable ring is then placed at the base
of the penis to hold the erection. This form of
therapy is easy to use and is safe, simple, and
successful.

|
Q:
Can vacuum therapy improve my erectyle
condition?
A:
Yes, it can. Regular use of a vacuum
device may help open penile arteries
and possibly restore them to their natural
elasticity. This may allow these penile
arteries to carry a more normal bloood
flow into the penis resulting in natural
rigid erections in conjunction with
prescription medications.
Q: Do
I have to have diabetes to have my impotence
device covered by Medicare?
A:
No, you do not need to have diabetes.
You need only to be diagnosed by your
doctor for erectyle dysfunction. If
you or a loved one are suffering remember
to discuss this with your doctor and
we will be glad to discuss this with
you further.
